We can readily perform interviews within a few hours of Atlanta, Georgia (our home base) and we have interviewers in many other cities. If we are not in your area, you can Organize a WTW Interview Day and we can potentially travel to your area to perform multiple interviews.
We love to attend combat veteran reunions from all wars. Ideally, we will have a “WTW Reunion Sponsor.” A sponsor is typically someone from the reunion organization that helps with logistics, including finding a place for us to perform interviews and setting up an interview schedule. We do everything else and can provide your organization with copies of all interviews.
We can come to your town if we are able to perform 5-8 interviews in a day. We often partner with senior centers, veteran homes, and civic organizations to preserve the stories of their residents. In other cases, individuals with a passion for our cause, local newspapers, or individuals who would like us to interview their family member will take the initiative to organize multiple interviews for us in an area.
WTW collects unique photos taken in a combat theater, combat memoirs and written stories, and audio or video combat stories recorded by others. If they meet our standards, we will share them on our website.
Witness to War is a non-profit and we do not charge for interviews. We do appreciate it when our travel expenses are covered for out of town interviews, however, if that is a challenge, we will fund travel ourselves. WTW provides free DVDs to the veterans we interview and their families.
